Turn the right visitors to your site into your
newsletter subscribers and eventually, into paying customers. |
|
|
Build your own "opt-in" customer or client list
and send professional looking newsletters - the same kind Kim
Klaver sends out. Include e-books and all kinds of attachments
from images to Excel files. |
|
|
Get suggestions and information 24/7 from your
visitors and regulars so you can offer more of what good customers
want and make your site a more inviting experience for them. |
|
|
Come across as an "advisor" instead of just a
seller, and make sales to your newsletter subscribers, because
you've now earned some credibility. |
|
|
Write regular newsletters to your sales team
or to customers - tips, event announcements, success stories
and information of interest to others like you... |
Most
site owners have discovered few people order after that first visit.
How often has anyone ordered or even contacted you from your site?
It takes a bit more "dating" to get past first base, so to speak.
Here's what researchers have learned about who's most likely to
buy stuff on the Internet: People tend buy from non-brand names
AFTER they subscribe to newsletters put out by those same web site
owners. People don't tend to buy on those first dates when they
first visit the site. It's those newsletters people sign up for
- on the sites - that do it. Here's the story about the power of
newsletters:
An "opt-in subscriber" is someone who ASKED to receive email information
from someone else - someone running an online business or information
service. For example, many of you receive a tip sheet from Kim Klaver.
Or you might get "breaking news" emails from the New York Times
or CNN. It's also called "permission based" marketing because the
subscribers have given their permission for someone to send them
messages.
Opt-in or permission marketing is the opposite of the outlawed
and dreaded spam - where people are bombarded with messages they
neither asked for nor want.
This is the kind of email marketing that's bringing in the steady
incomes to those who have learned how to do it:
And the useful lists are growing fast...
People receiving the useful newsletters or tip sheets look forward
to the latest information or tips from their favorite senders. Kim
Klaver lusts after any email "issues" from Apple, or the daily "A.Word.A.Day"
newsletter, while others can't wait for their favorite ideas or
releases from South Park or their religious newsletters.
Those with good subscriber lists have them because they've become
treasured over time as advisors who offer tips, information, short
cuts, and they can recommend products or services, including their
own. Once others see you know your stuff in an area they care about
also, it's much easier for them to buy something you recommend.
Have you found that for newsletter writers that you really like?
The trick is, how do you build up such a list? And manage it and
keep it growing? A list that is YOURS, just like Kim
Klaver has her list with tens of thousands of subscribers. (Kim's
list has been almost 10 years in the making and continues to add
members each day.)
And how do you email to them in one fell swoop, either once a month,
4 times a year, or even on a prescheduled basis, and be sure that
it LOOKS GOOD on THEIR computer each time?
How do you email to just some of them, like just the females? Or
just those in one part of the US? Or those 50+? Or, better yet,
what if you want to peek and see who actually read your message
and who didn't? You can. Hehe.
